Jason R. Jager, 27 of Dakota City passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 2, 2011 at his residence from natural causes. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at Hope Lutheran Church, South Sioux City with the Rev. Randall B. Knuth officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in Rosehill Cemetery, Emerson, NE. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Monday with a prayer service at 7 P.M. at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City. Jason was born May 27, 1984 in Great Falls, Montana the son of Terry R. and Jenni L. (Mullins) Jager. He moved with his family to South Sioux City in 1998. He graduated from high school and was employed as a carpenter. He married Trista Pratt. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in South Sioux City. He enjoyed golf and fishing. He loved music and spending time with his kids. Survivors include his two sons: Trason and Nolan, a step-son Ethan Lair, his parents: Terry and Jenni Jager of Dakota City, his grandfather Robert Jager of South Sioux City, three aunts and their husbands: Brenda and Jim Pinney, Cindy and Randy Askew, Jenny and Clark Holborn, a niece Lyndsay Jager a nephew Matthew Jager and many cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother Jeremy R. Jager, paternal grandmother Josephine Jager, maternal grandparents: Larry and Rose Mullins and an uncle Mark Mullins. Pallbearers will be Beau and Brandon Freese, Andrew Pinney, Jon Jager, Alex Kazos, Scott Quinn, Shawn and Shane Mullins. Posthumous honorary pallbearer will be Jeremy Jager.
