Lenora D. Anderson, 70 of South Sioux City passed away Sunday January 22, 2012 at her residence. Services will 10:30 A.M. Thursday at Hope Lutheran Church with the Rev. Randall B. Knuth officiating. Burial will be in the Dakota City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Becker – Hunt Funeral with a prayer service at 7 P.M. Lenora was born February 24, 1941 in Chicago the daughter of Wayne and Dorothy (Miner) Skinner. She grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas. She graduated from high school and attended two years of college. She married Jerry R. Anderson and two this union two sons were born. She was a longtime resident of South Sioux City and was involved with the P.T.A. and the Dolphins Swim Club. She taught and was a Massage Therapist in South Sioux City for ten years. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Ladies Aide and the altar guild of the church, taught Sunday School, assisted with confirmation classes and vacation Bible School. She was a devoted member of her church. Survivors include her sons and their wives: David and Lori of Allen, Texas, Dale and Holly of Canton, South Dakota, four grandchildren: James and Kaitlin Anderson and Rylee and Teegan Anderson and a sister Cleona Skinner. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Clark Skinner.
