Orville Thomas Hicks

Orville T. Hicks, 68 of Sioux City passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012 at a Sioux City Care Center. Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Roach and the Rev. Janell Norton officiating. A flag presentation by the American Legion will follow. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Orville was born December 9, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas the son of Orville T. and Antoinette (Surrett) Hicks. He served in the Army as a cook from May 27, 1964 until May 26, 1967. He later was employed as a prep cook for Carlos O’Kellys and was a technician for Servicemaster in South Sioux City. He enjoyed watching football and racing and also enjoyed mini golf. Survivors include his son and his wife: David and Jessie Hicks of South Sioux City. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Sharon.
