Vera L. Stansberry, 94 of South Sioux City passed away Friday, March 23, 2012 at a Sioux City Hospital. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday at Riverhills Church in South Sioux City with the Rev. Kevin Roach and the Rev. Janell Norton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home. Vera was born March 1, 1918 in Walthill, Nebraska the daughter of Charles F. and Sula B. (Roberts) Stansberry. She was employed as a housekeeping supervisor for St. Lukes Medical Center. She was a member of the Assembly Of God Church. Survivors include two brothers: Roy Stansberry of Sioux City, Charles and his wife Dorothy Stansberry of South Sioux City and three sisters: Thelma Queen of South Sioux City and Midge and her husband Truman Griggs and Pat Beach all of California. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Morris and Gale and six sisters: Joan, Eadith, Lela, Eunice, Norma and Erma. Pallbearers will be Gerard Doyle, James Wagner, Ken Moore, Roger Hanner, Mark Horan and Terry Raub.
