Cynthia J. (Belew) Coughenour, 58 of Dakota City passed away Monday July 2, 2012 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday at Morningside Assembly of God Church with Rev. Johnny Hilton officiating. Burial will be in the Public Cemetery, Kingsley, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Friday at the church with a prayer service at 7 P.M. Arrangements are under the care of Becker – Hunt Funeral Home. Cynthia was born March 11, 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Richard M. and Doris (Hupp) Belew. She graduated from high school and Western Iowa Technical College. She was employed in secretarial and customer service with her last employment at Stream Global Services. She married Bruce E. Coughenour April 19, 2004 in Hawaii. She was a member of Morningside Assembly of God Church. Survivors include her husband Bruce, two sons: Matthew Caleb Dorr of Dakota City, Seth Israel Dorr and Brigette Parmele of Dakota City, a daughter Rachel and her husband Thomas Koszegi of Phoenix, AZ, three brothers and their wives: Jeffrey Earl and Denise Belew, Michael James and Mary Belew and Daniel Eugene and Linda Belew all of South Sioux City, a sister and her husband: Jackie Jean and Steve Remer of Homer, NE, one grandson: Zane Koszegi and her mother Doris Belew of South Sioux City. She was preceded in death by her father Richard Belew.
