John J. Watkins

John J. Watkins, 41, of Sioux City caring son of Hollas and Doris Watkins joined his father and brother in death on Monday July 23, 2012 at a Sioux City Hospital. Services will be 11 A.M. Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Father Michael Erpelding officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Hubbard, Nebraska. There will be no visitation, Becker – Hunt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. John was born August 24, 1970 in Sioux City the son of Hollas N.J. and Doris A. (Chase) Watkins. He graduated from Heelan High School. He joined the U.S. Army in 1988. He served in Germany and was discharged in 1996. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City. Survivors include his mother, Doris of Sioux City, five brothers: Stephen, Kevin, David, Thomas and Jeffrey, six sisters: Terri Anne Watkins, Mary Saunders, Susan Moore, Carrie Rustin, Judy Kunze, Julie Carrier, his loving pet beagle “Beagle”, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Nicole Davila, Eric Watkins, Timothy Kunze, Holli Kunze, Kristi Kaye McLeod and Mindi Kelley. He was preceded in death by his father Hollas and a brother Timothy.
