Renae E. Wingate, 38 of Sioux City, died Sunday July 22, 2012 at a Sioux City Hospital. Services will be 2 P.M. Monday, July 30, 2012 at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Sioux City with the Rev. David Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery, rural Homer, Nebraska. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Sunday at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City with the family present at 6 P.M., a prayer service at 7 P.M. with Ronald Berger officiating. Renae Ellen Wingate was born January 16, 1974 in Pender, Nebraska the daughter of Douglas E. and Judith A. (Berger) Smith. She graduated from South Sioux City High School and attended West Texas State College. She married Henry L. Wingate September 5, 1998 in Sioux City. She was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church in Sioux City. Survivors include her husband Henry, a son Samuel Henry Wingate at home, four sisters: Dawn Hays, Shari and her husband Rick Juarez, Janet Reynolds and her companion Luther King all of Sioux City, Virginia and her husband Mark Moody of Lewisville, Texas, three brothers: Kevin and his wife Jan Smith, Leslie and his wife Kyong Smith, Mark Smith all of Sioux City, her companion chihuahua “Dolly” , several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her maternal and paternal grandparents, two sisters: Kari and Anna.
