Clifford M. McNamara, 84, of South Sioux City passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at a South Sioux City Care Center. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Omaha Valley Cemetery, rural Homer, Nebraska with Rev. Randy Rasmussen officiating. Following the service at the cemetery, there will be lunch and gathering with the family at the Hy-Vee Club Room in South Sioux City. Visitation with the family will be at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home from 4 to 8 P.M. Friday. Clifford was born May 17, 1928, in Sioux City the son of Matthew and Agnes M. (Carr) McNamara. He married Dorothy Mae Minor August 22, 1948, in Dakota City, Nebraska. He retired from Hawkinson and Beatty in Sioux City. The couple enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with their family and friends. Survivors include his son Adel “Shorty” and his wife Beverly McNamara of Winnemucca, Nevada, a daughter June Beldin of Bakersfield, California, a brother Bill and his wife Shirley McNamara of Brush, Washington, three sisters: Mary and her husband Frank Anderson of Sioux Falls, SD, Rosie Vandermore of Canton, SD, Pat Hart of Corona Del Mar, California, six grandchildren: Jon McNamara, Melissa and Jeremiah Baisley, Kelli McNamara, Tina, Jamie, and Jason Belden and two special family friends: Helen Dunacan and Paula Wagner. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy of fifty-five years on July 29, 2004 in Reno, Nevada and a brother Jim McNamara. Pallbearers will be Jon, Paul and Bill McNamara, Jim Ebert, Jamison Wagner and Joey Beldin.
