Hilaria S. Dickes, 86 of South Sioux City went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday , September 11, 2012 at a Sioux City Hospital. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Monday at St. Michael Catholic Church in South Sioux City with the Rev. Anthony Espinosa officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to8:00 P.M. Sunday with a Legion Of Mary Rosary at 4:00 P.M. and a scriptural wake service at 7:00 P.M. at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home. Hilaria was born October 18, 1925 in Fordyce, NE the daughter of Ado and Josephine (Langferman) Koch. She was a longtime resident of South Sioux City. She married Irvin Dickes on February 12, 1945 in Mead, Nebraska. She was a devoted member of St. Michael Catholic Church and a member of the Legion Of Mary. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, camping, fishing, cooking, gardening and canning. Survivors include four sons: Larry and Jan Dickes, Gerald and Kelly Dickes and Alvin and Jan Dickes all of Sioux City and Kenneth Dickes of South Sioux City, four daughters: Sandra Harvey and Barbara Dickes of South Sioux City, Deborah Faber and Judy Dickes of Sioux City, a brother and his wife: Anthony and Joan Koch of South Sioux City, four sisters: Hildegard Anderson, Doris Pagan and Lorraine Derby all of South Sioux City and Sylvia Kingston of Omaha, NE, twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Irvin Dickes on January 22, 1984 in Sioux City, two daughters: Donna Rojas and Patty Dickes and a brother: Cletus Koch. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Jonathan, Justin, Jerry, Alvin, Tyrell and Jake Dickes and Jeremy Faber.
