Jacque Miller, 87 of South Sioux City passed away Sunday, October 28, 2012 at a Omaha Hospital. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday at Riverhills Church in South Sioux City with the Rev. Kevin Roach officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 P.M. Thursday at Riverhills Church with the family present at 6:00 P.M. and a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. Becker-Hunt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Jacque was born December 31, 1924, in Jackson, Nebraska the son of William and Millie (Waite) Miller. He graduated from South Sioux City. He married Marian M. Parker December 13, 1944 in South Sioux City. Jacque worked at Charlie Miller Body Shop for fifteen years until he purchased Sioux Plating Co. in 1959 where he worked until his death. He was also very involved in church activities serving as a deacon and elder for several decades as well as teaching Sunday School. He also served as the President of Full Gospel Business for several years where he would also travel and do public speaking for other chapters. He also was a Polaris Snowmobile dealer in the 1970’s and 1980’s, loved to play slow pitch softball on the company team and played into his 50’s. He was an avid bowler with the company team winning several league championships in the early 1970’s. He also loved to pitch horseshoes. Jacque also served as a Scout Master in South Sioux City. Jacque loved to hunt and fish and took several hunting and fishing trips from California to Canada. Jacque’s passion was his family and the Sunday family dinners where he would help Marian with the cooking, his specialty being the sticky buns. He will be missed by all those in his family. Survivors include his wife Marian, three sons and their wives: Steven and Sharon Miller of Alcester, SD, David and Shery Miller of Lincoln, Nebraska, Tom and Darlys Miller of Dakota Dunes, SD, eleven grandchildren: Michael (Laura) Miller, Bryan Miller, David W. (Miriam) Miller, Nicholas (Hayley) Miller, Stephanie Miller,Stashia (Joel) Casimir, Lindsey Haase, Nikki (Jeremy) McLaughlin, Molly Miller, Mc Kayla Miller and Syndney Miller and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers: Burl, Charlie, Bill, George and Bob, two sisters: Marie Larson and Edna Keller and a great grandchild Ean Alexander Haase. Pallbearers will be Michael, Bryan, David W. and Nicholas Miller, John Orr, Sr. and Robert Criss.
