Patricia Debra “Pat” Oldenburg, 57 of Homer, Nebraska, passed away Sunday January 6, 2013 at a Sioux City Hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident in rural Dakota County. Services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday January 25, 2013, in St. Paul Lutheran Church in Homer, Nebraska with the Rev. Jeffrey Ungs officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church. Becker – Hunt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pat was born January 9, 1955 in Sioux City the daughter of Russell T. and Hazel E. (Bennett) Holder. She attended Sioux City Schools. She married Douglas M. Oldenburg in February of 1976 in Dakota City, Nebraska. She was employed at Region IV for several years and later was employed as a teacher’s aide in Homer, Nebraska. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Homer, Nebraska and the South Sioux City Eagles Club. She enjoyed her grandchildren who were number one in her life and also enjoyed her animals. Survivors include her husband: Douglas of Homer, Nebraska, a son Wade and his wife Lacey Oldenburg of Homer, Nebraska, two daughters and their husbands: Carrie and Benjamin Bremmer of Dakota City, Nebraska and Stacy and Ryan Coenen of Sioux City, Iowa, a step-daughter: Andrea Reyna, two brothers: Mike Holder of Lancaster, CA and Stanley and his wife Pat Holder of Sun City, Arizona, a sister: JoAnn Holder of Sun City, Arizona, seven grandchildren and one step grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother: Warren. A granddaughter: Regan Coenen passed away on January 8, 2013 from injuries received in the same automobile accident. Memorials or donations in her name may be made to the Siouxland Federal Credit Union Oldenburg/Coenen Fund to help with expenses.
