Mitchell A. "Mitch" Hendrick

Mitchell Allen “Mitch” Hedrick, 50 of South Sioux City died Sunday February 17, 2013 at his residence. A celebration of life service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the Gateway Bar and Grill, 1558 Gateway Drive in South Sioux City. At his request to his family the body has been cremated. Becker – Hunt Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements. Mitch was born August 5, 1962, in Sioux City the son of William W .and Margie M. (VanCleave) Hedrick. He graduated from South Sioux City High School in May of 1981. He was a plumber by trade, but enjoyed being a trucker. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his cabin on the river. Survivors include his son William and his wife Stacy Hedrick of Sioux City, his mother Margie Hedrick of South Sioux City, a sister Vanessa Melchert of Kansas City, Missouri, a nephew Matt Hedrick of South Sioux City, two uncles: Jack Hedrick of Decatur, Nebraska, B. Allen Hedrick of Lincoln, Nebraska, several cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father William, maternal grandparents Tom and Ruth VanCleave, paternal grandparents: Ralph and Marjorie Hedrick and his canine hunting companion K.C.
