Terry E. Brewer, Sr.

Terry E. Brewer, Sr., 71 of Ponca, NE passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 at a Sioux City Hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City with the Rev. Jeffrey Ungs officiating. Burial will be in the City Cemetery, Ponca, Nebraska. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Terry was born September 8, 1941 in Ponca, Nebraska the son of William O. and Rita F. (Webb) Brewer. He hauled scrap iron, was a horse trader and a jack of all trades. He married Edith A. Golden on May 15, 1958. Survivors include Edith and his children; a son Terry Jr. and his wife Rose Brewer of Dakota City, NE, three daughters: Sue and husband Darwin Kluver of Homer, NE, Sandy and husband Kevin Thorell of Laurel, NE, Sherry “George” Brewer and her special friend Kevin Snedeker of Old Fort. NC, two brothers: Mike of Vermillion, SD, Donald of Louisiana, three sisters: Linda of Sioux City, Rosemary of New York, Deb of Centerville, SD, eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Terry loved visiting with people. He was preceded in death by his parents. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dylan, Dalton and Samantha Kluver, Winter and Kasey Strivens, Sara Chamberlain, Kayla and Shyan Brewer. Pallbearers will be Josh and Billy Brewer, Jason Strivens, D.J., Dakotah and Josie Kluver.
