Joyce Ann Yusten, 77 of Dakota City passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at a South Sioux City Care Center. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at Salem Lutheran Church in rural Dakota City with the Rev. Jeffrey Ungs officiating. There will be a lunch in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service. Graveside services will be 1:30 P.M. Wednesday in Silver Ridge Cemetery at rural Ponca, NE. Visitation will be from 5 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Salem Lutheran Church with a prayer service at 7:30 P.M. Becker-Hunt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Joyce was born December 16, 1935 in Le Mars, Iowa the daughter of John H. and Marie (Raveling) Wulf. She graduated from Bronson, Iowa High School. She married Robert B. Yusten on March 20, 1956 in St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Sioux City. The couple farmed in the Newcastle and Ponca area until moving to Dakota City in 1965. She was also an Avon Representative. Joyce was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in rural Dakota City, the Rejoice Circle of the church, Order of Eastern Star, America Business Women, Christian Women in Sioux City, and was a girl scout leader for over twenty years. Survivors include her husband Robert of Dakota City, two sons and their wives: Brian and Lorri of Lansing, Michigan, Mark and P.J. of Ankeny, Iowa, two daughters and their husbands: Mary and Robert Wilson of Rosalie, NE, Judy and Jack Blunk of Carlton, NE, a sister-in-law Dixie Wulf of Bronson, IA, eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Elmer, Melvin and Richard Wulf and five sisters: Clara Ranschau, Verna Murphy, Dorothy Wulf, Irma Wulf and her twin Jean Wulf.
