Elsie F. Luedke, 102 of South Sioux City passed away on Friday September 13, 2013 at a South Sioux City Care Center. Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at St. Michael Catholic Church in South Sioux City with the Rev. Jose Mendoza officiating. There will be a lunch immediately following the mass. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. in the City Cemetery at Craig, Nebraska. Visitation will be from 4 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home with a Catholic Daughters Rosary at 4 PM and a scriptural wake service at 7:00 P.M. Elsie was born November 3, 1910 in Bancroft, Nebraska the daughter of Charles A. and Catherine L. (Dougherty) Tighe. She formerly lived in Bancroft and Oakland moving to South Sioux City in 1993. She married John P. Peterson. They divorced and he passed away in July of 1979 in California. She married Rudy L.V. Luedke on December 7, 1948 in West Point, NE. He passed away on December 31, 1996 in South Sioux City. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters Of America. She also was a former member of the Bancroft Garden Club and delivered meals on wheels in Oakland. she also played in the band for the Swedish Festival in Oakland Survivors include two daughters: Jeanette and her husband Darrel Schademan and Evelyn Schademan all of South Sioux City, a sister Mary Ann Genovesi of Omaha, NE, eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, a son LeRoy Peterson, six brothers: Eddie, Paul,David, Michael, Willy and Anthony and five sisters: Agnes Waltz, Annie Lowell, Ellen Deal, Pat Johnson and Josie Baylor. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Deal, Paul Tighe, Jr., Darrell Amick and Colleen Grint. Pallbearers will be Johnathan and Chad Schademan, Jason Dailey, David Peterson, Trey Haines and Doug Olsen
