Patricia Williamson, 57 of Lafayette, Indiana and formerly of Dakota City, Nebraska passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at a hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home with the Rev. Carol Jean Stapleton officiating. Burial will be in the Liston Township Cemetery at Danbury, Iowa. There will be a lunch and time of fellowship with the family at the home of Linda Schovanec immediately following the committal service. Visitation will be from 4 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Patricia was born July 15, 1956 in Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of Ralph B. and Dorothy L. (Stowers) Barrs. She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1974. She was formerly from Dakota City, NE and was employed at the Attic Lounge for several years. She married James A. Williamson on February 13, 1987 in Dakota City. The last ten years she lived in Indiana and was a campground office manager. She loved animals and was an animal rights activist. Survivors include her husband James of Lafayette, Indiana, her mother Dorothy Stowers of South Sioux City, two sisters: Linda and her husband Frank Schovanec of Dakota City, Cindy Arndt of South Sioux City, her canine friends Anna Belle and Kaitlyn and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, a brother Jim Barrs and two sisters: Diana Kruse and Nancy Benson. Pallbearers will be Seth Wagner, Jeff Anderson, Dan Branson, John Goodier, Clint Barrs and Frank Schovanec.
