South Sioux City, NE: Patricia R. “Pat” Wilen 67 of Tucson, AZ formerly of South Sioux City, Nebraska passed away Friday February 21, 2014 in a Tucson, AZ Care Center. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday at St. Paul United Methodist Church in South Sioux City with Rev. Carol Jean Stapleton Officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday with a prayer service at 5:30 PM at Becker Hunt Funeral Home. Pat was born September 23, 1946, in Bloomfield, Nebraska the daughter of Lyle E. and Vivian L. (Engle) Ferguson. She was raised in Yankton, SD and graduated from high school. In 1963 she married Dwight Wardrip. They had three boys and later divorced. In 1988 she married Robert M. Wilen. She was employed at Walgreens in South Sioux City for twenty-three years. In her younger years she was an avid bowler. She is a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in South Sioux City, South Sioux City Eagles Auxiliary #2492 for many years and was president twice and conductor for many years, She loved to dance, and did square dancing and did clogging. Survivors include her husband Robert, a son Wade and his wife Lori of Eufaula, OK, stepdaughters: Bobbie Jo Wilen of Dallas, TX, Becky Wilen of Brookfield, MO, Tina Moranda of Sioux City, step-son Nick and his wife Kristen Wilen of Indianola, MISS, two brothers: Loren (Char) Ferguson of South Sioux City, Bayrd Ferguson of North Shore, SD, two sisters: Pamela Wendte of Omaha, Sandra (Dan) Pederson of Tabor, SD, 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Luke Wilen, Myron Ptak, Benjamin, Spencer and Lonnie Wardrip and Jim Glover. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons Lonnie and Wyatt Wardrip.
