Arnold L. Robinson

Arnold L. Robinson, 86 of South Sioux City passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at his residence. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Bud Christenson officiating. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery, Allen, Nebraska Visitation at the funeral home will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Arnold was born October 25, 1927 in Moville, Iowa the son of Mortimor L. and Delma (Handke) Robinson. He married Ardith E. Fuller February 7, 1948 in Sioux City. He was employed in office machines and office repair services. Arnold retired in 1993. In 1995 the couple moved to Brownsville, Texas. They moved to Ponca, Nebraska in 2007 and to South Sioux City in 2011. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Ponca. Survivors include two sons and their wives: Robert and Kathy Robinson of Ponca, Calvin and Patricia Robinson, two daughters: Cheryl Cale and Linda Hovde both of South Sioux City, a sister Mary Christman of Smithland, Iowa, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parent, his wife Ardith April 11, 2011 in South Sioux City a brother Clarence and a sister Carol. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren: Chad Rahn, Jason Cale, Kelly Robinson, Dustin Cale, Jeremy Cale, Jeffery Robinson, Gayland Stokes, Jr and Rebecca Brenman.
