  Rachelle R. Chartier: 44 of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly Friday May 23, 2014 in South Sioux City.           Services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at Nativity Catholic Church in Sioux City with Rev. Steven McLoud officiating. Burial will be a private service for immediate family at a later date. Visitation will begin at 5 P.M. Tuesday at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City with a prayer service at 7 P.M.Rachelle, “Shelly or Sissy” was born May 3, 1970 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of Cheri Wells and Larry Chartier. She graduated from East High School in 1988. She went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree from Bellevue College in Business Administration and a Nursing degree from Western Iowa Tech.           Shelly worked as a home health care nurse in Colorado until her recent move back to Sioux City. She truly enjoyed caring for the patients and always went above and beyond for them.           Shelly loved spending time in the mountains and going for long motorcycle rides. Her favorite things in life were spending time with her family. Her daughter Megann was the light of her life and spending time with her parents, brothers and extended family brought her the most joy.           Survivors include: two children, Megann Chartier and Jesse Meth, a granddaughter Emberlynn Linder, parents Larry Chartier and Cheri Wells, brothers and sisters: Chad Chartier and wife Nicole, Gene Chartier and wife Susan, Joe Dik and wife Jamie, Nicole Martin and husband Chad, Leslie Parker and husband Wade, Kim Baze and husband Keith and numerous nieces and nephews, her grandmother Dollie Chartier and step father Tom Dik and wife Theresa.           She was preceded in death by her grandfather Elmer Chartier, grandmother Betty Wells, brother Shane Chartier and uncles Ed Wells and Allan Chartier.
