Janice K. Dickes, 69 of Sioux City formerly of South Sioux City passed away  Friday August 29, 2014 at a Sioux City Care Center.            Services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday at St. Michael Catholic Church in South Sioux City with the Rev. Jose Mendoza officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Thursday with a scriptural wake service at 7 P.M.           Janice was born September 24, 1944 in Denison, Iowa the daughter of Steven and Bernadine (Siemer) Newman. She graduated from high school and attended college for two years. She married Clayton Ericson. She later married Larry D. Dickes September 5, 1981 in South Sioux City. She was formerly employed in customer service.  After her marriage  to Larry, the couple was apartment managers for several years in South Sioux City and Sioux City.           She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in South Sioux City.           Survivors include her husband Larry, a son Todd and his companion Carla Johnson of Pine City, MN, a daughter Theresa Ericson and her fiancé   Elton Baker of Sioux City, a brother Larry (Dorothy) Landgraff of Ida Grove, IA, a sister Sharon (Gene) Segebart of Lake City, IA a brother-in-law Darrell Broderson of Schleswig, IA a sister-in-law Dianne Newman of Denison, IA, five grandchildren Nathan, Casandra, Nicole and Courtney Ericson and Emily Sullivan  and six great grandchildren.           She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Charles Newman and a sister Marcia Broderson.           Pallbearers will be Charles Newman, Jr, Jonathan and Justin and Tyrell Dickes, Nathan and Todd Ericson.
