Steven Ray Swanson

Steven Ray Swanson, 56 of rural Dakota City passed away Wednesday October 1, 2014 at a Sioux City Hospital.           Services will be 11 A.M. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Walt Hill, Nebraska with the Rev. Brion Tolzman  officiating.  Burial will be in Omaha Valley Cemetery, Homer, Nebraska. Visitation will be 10 A, M, Monday until service time at the church. Becker – Hunt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Steven was born July 25, 1958 in Sioux City the son of Duane L. and Loralee A. (Stricklett) Swanson. He graduated from Winnebago Nebraska High School. He was employed at Circle – T Feedlot in Walthill until 2007 when he had to retire due to poor health.           He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Walthill.            Survivors include a daughter Jordyn Swanson of Wayne, Nebraska, his mother, Loralee Swanson,  of  rural Dakota City,  a sister and her husband Julie and Larry Stinger of Dakota City,  a brother David Swanson of Sioux City.           Pallbearers will be Eddie and Rick Stansberry,  Merlyn and Jake Tremayne, Dave Hutcheson and Blake Renner.           He was preceded in death by his father Duane.
