Josephine M. Petersen 94, of South Sioux City passed away Monday October 20, 2014 at a Sioux City Hospital surrounded by her family.           Services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday at First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City with Pastor Kelley Pedersen officiating. Graveside services will be 1:30 P.M. in Rose Hill Cemetery, Emerson, Nebraska. Visitation will from 5 to 8 P.M. Thursday at the church with a prayer service at 7 P.M. Becker – Hunt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.           Josephine was born April 6, 1920 in rural Hubbard, Nebraska the daughter of Henry C. and Julia A. (Peters) Hirsch. She married Victor A. Petersen March 17, 1942 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson, Nebraska.           She was employed as a seamstress at Jack’s Uniforms in South Sioux City, Nebraska. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City.           Survivors include a son Roger V. and his wife Judy Petersen of Lincoln, Nebraska, two daughters and their husbands: Julieanne and James Shore of Worthington, Minnesota, Vikki And Kevin Hansen of South Sioux City, six grandchildren, Lori Brown, Traci Petersen-Tavana, Scot Schnoor. Jodi Cooper, Chad Schnoor, Sara VanRoekel, great grandchildren: Steven, Lindsay, Ashley and Brandon Schnoor, Alisha and Emma Cooper, Jamie, Alyssa and Kylie Schnoor, Rachel and Brandon Brown.           She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Victor April 13, 1987, brothers: Wilbur, Frederick, Golden, Earl, Robert, Harold and Edward Hirsch, sisters: Margaret Hirsch and Dorothy Wichert and a grandson Alan Schnoor.           Pallbearers will be grandchildren: Scot and Chad Schnoor, Jodi Cooper, Sara VanRoekel, Lorie Brown and Traci Petersen-Tavana. Honorary pallbearers will be great grandchildren: Steven, Lindsay, Ashley and Brandon Schnoor, Alisha and Emma Cooper,   Jamie, Alyssa and Kylie Schnoor, Rachel and Brandon Brown.
