Charlotte Janis Ferguson

Charlotte Janis Ferguson 65 of South Sioux City passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 in a Sioux City hospital.           Services will be 7 P.M. Thursday at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Squier officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour before service time at the funeral home.           Charlotte was born January 24, 1949 in Hawarden, Iowa the daughter of Fred W. and Eva E. (Vande Pol) Zalme. She graduated from West Sioux High School in Hawarden, Iowa. She married Ronald Berger. She later married Loren L. Ferguson February 14, 1987 in Dakota City, Nebraska.           She was a Methodist. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, gardening, crafting and scrap booking.           Survivors include her husband Loren, two sons and their wives: Lonnie D. and Johnna Berger, Corey S. and Erica Berger all of Sioux City, two step-daughters: Kristy Ferguson of Omaha, Nebraska, Lori and her husband Robert Ferris of Council Bluff, Iowa, ten grandchildren, one great grandson, a brother and his wife Duane and Diane Zalme of Ireton, Iowa, a sister and her husband Jeanette and George Wakeman of Ireton, Iowa, aunts and uncles.           She was preceded in death by her parents.
