Harold M. Kuhn

Harold M. Kuhn, 92 of Wayne, Nebraska formally of Emerson, Nebraska passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 at Tabitha in Lincoln, Nebraska following a brief illness.           He was born March 15, 1923 in Walthill, Nebraska to George and Laurine (McConaughey) Kuhn. He married Shirley M. Twyford August 25, 1946 in Walthill, Nebraska. To this union three children were born. Andrew (Karen), Steven (Jolene), and Daneze Hanish (Dean).           Harold served in the U.S. Army from December 11, 1942 until April 25, 1946. He then served in the U.S. Air Force from March 17, 1948 until March 16, 1952. Harold retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier.           He is survived by his, children and seven grandchildren: Tom and Katy Kuhn, Nicholas (Suzanne), Jacob (Kelli) Erin (Terry Young) Zachary (Lina) and Caleb Hanish, eleven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.           He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley M. Twyford Kuhn on May 29, 2015, his parents and a brother John “Jack” Kuhn.        A celebration of life service for Shirley and Harold will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, June 15, 2015, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson, Nebraska.           In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Emerson. Becker – Hunt Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
