Rosie Kilberg Casey

June 11, 1931 — July 16, 2015

         Rosie Kilberg Casey, 84, of South Sioux City, passed away Thursday July 16, 2015, 12:45 A.M. at a South Sioux City Care Center with her daughters by her side.           Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday at First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City with Rev. Kelley Pedersen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 8 P.M. with a prayer service at 7 P.M. at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home.           Rosie was born June 11, 1931, in Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of Bernard and Frances (Heisler) Peterson. She attended Central High School and graduated in 1948. Rosie married Bob Kilberg on February 8, 1949. They had three children together; Debbie, Bobby and Susie. She later married Neil Casey.           Rosie was employed by Dakota County Bank for thirty years and worked until she was 75. Not one day was Rosie ever without her shinning beaming smile. Rosie had incredible sense of dignity and was always a class act. She was very gracious of everyone who came into her life and a strong faith based woman.           Survivors include her daughters: Debbie Lee and Susie (Shane) Rol all of Sioux City, four grandsons: Mark (Gina) Lee of Los Angeles, California, Mike Lee of Clear Lake, Iowa, Shane Rol Jr of Dakota City, Nebraska, Alex Rol of Sioux City, Iowa and Rosie’s special friend and companion Stanley Binkley of Hubbard, Nebraska.             She was preceded in death by her son Bobby Kilberg, Jr, Her husband Neil Casey, her parents, three sisters: Joyce Wynn, Violet “Tod” Dik, her beloved sister and best friend Mickey Lauritsen and only brother Bernard Peterson, Jr.           Pallbearers will be four grandsons and lifelong friends of the family Larry and Garry Susie.           The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Regency Square and Hospice of Siouxland for their excellent care and endless compassion.
