David Lynn “Dub” Vandemore, 72 of South Sioux City, died Sunday December 27, 2015 at his residence. Memorial services will be 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home conducted by family and friends followed with military honors and flag presentation by the American Legion and the V.F.W. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home. David was born March 3, 1943 in Hudson, S.D. the son of William J. and Murlah G. (Jones) Vandemore. He graduated from high school and college. He was a Navy Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He was employed as an Electrical Engineer for various companies in Sioux Falls, S.D. He was a member of the American Legion #307 and the V.F.W. # 10753. Survivors include his daughter Jacqueline R. Bodie of Nassau, Bahamas, a brother Larry Vandemore of Akron, Iowa, three sisters: Caren Closson of Charlevoix, Michigan, Mary Ann Claeys of Hudson, S.D., Kathleen Vandemore of Le Mars, Iowa, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Following the service there will be a lunch and gathering with family and friends at the American Legion in South Sioux City.
