Lorraine Krumwiede

Lorraine Krumwiede 90 of South Sioux City passed away Friday January 15, 2016 at her residence.           Services will be 2 P. M. Friday at First Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery, rural Homer, Nebraska. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 P.M. Thursday at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home.           Lorraine was born July 5, 1925 in Walthill, Nebraska the daughter of Collier N. and Mildred E. (Gallup) Chase. She moved to South Sioux City when she was ten years old. She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1943. She married John M. “Max” Krumwiede February 19, 1944 in Sioux City. She was employed at Zenith.           She was a member of First Lutheran Church, former member of the Eagles in Sioux City, the Hobby Craft Extension Club and life time member of the P.T.A.   She loved to do ceramics and play bunco.           Survivors include: two daughters: Karen and her husband Norman Stava of Overland Park, Kansas, Rhonda Ross of South Sioux City, a brother Norman of Salisbury, Maryland, nine grandchildren: Steve Stava, Jeff (Jamie) Stave, Lynne (Tim) Eskina, Michele Harlow, Tiffany Dahl, Bobbie (Paul) Kurle, Kevin Ross, Eric Samson and Brooks (Samantha) Krumwiede, and 19 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.           She was preceded in death by her husband Max September 22, 2007 in South Sioux City, a son John, three brothers Byron, Kenneth and Collier, JR, four sisters: Melva Greiner, Karen Chase, Evelyn Gill and Sharon Chase and one great grandson, Anthony Stava.           Pallbearers will be Steven, Jeffrey and Chase Stava, Kevin Ross, Brooks Krumwiede and Eric Samson.
