Joyce V. Chester

Joyce V. Chester, 88, of South Sioux City passed away Wednesday February 17, 2016 at a South Sioux City Care Center.           Joyce had requested that there be no visitation or funeral service and that she wanted cremated at the time of her death. Becker – Hunt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.           Joyce was born March 18, 1927, in South Sioux City the daughter of Frank and Flora M. (Townsend) Kazmer. She graduated from high school and attended college for one year. She and her mother owned and operated Kazmer Grocery in South Sioux City.           She married Carl Chester October 5, 1974 in Sioux City.           Joyce was a member of Hope Lutheran Church.           Joyce is survived by one niece Mary Koenck of Middletown, MD, one nephew John Probst of Elizabeth, West VA, and true friends: Neill and Jean Barnes and family of South Sioux City.           She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl on May 19, 1992, one brother, one sister and a niece.
