Marjorie Darlene (Stockton) Gullickson, a long-time resident of Sioux City, passed away on May 30th, after an extended battle with cancer. Born September 7, 1933, in Homer, NE, “Marge” was the daughter of the late Gladys Faye (Crippen), and William Stockton, Sr. She graduated in 1951 from Homer High School, where she was a class president. After graduation Marge moved to Sioux City, and worked in manufacturing earning the respect and admiration of her supervisors as a diligent, hard-worker. She retired at age 79. She married Sterling Gullickson July 2, 1996 in South Sioux City. He passed away in 2006. Marge enjoyed visiting friends and attending the Nazarene church (now New Life Community Church) where she volunteered in the children’s programs for many years as a much loved nursery leader and as a valuable part of the bus ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Sterling, brother William “Bill”, sister Vennie “Rie” (Stockton) VanHouten and brother Melvin Stockton. Marge is survived by her twins, daughter, Sheila (& Curt) Decker, and her family of MD, son Kim (& Michelle) Gullickson, and his family of TX, sister Mary Stockton of Sioux City, and brothers Earl and Lewis Stockton of CA. Marjorie was the proud grandmother of eight: Sara, Anna, Joey, and Daniel Decker; and Paige, Piper, Brighton, and Peyton Gullickson. The family will receive visitors at Becker-Hunt funeral home at 204 E. 15th St., South Sioux City, on Thursday from 4 to 8 P.M. with a prayer service at 7 .P.M. Services will be held at New Life Community Church, 4800 Stone Ave, Sioux City, on Friday, 10:30 A.M. June 3, 2016. Graveside services will be at 2 P.M. in Omaha Valley Cemetery in Homer, NE, near Marge’s family.
