Leanna Marie Osbahr

August 4, 1961 — June 2, 2016

Leanna M. “Hofmeister” Osbahr, 54 of North Sioux City passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the University of Nebraska Hospital in Omaha, NE.           Services will be 10:3 A.M. Thursday at St Michael Catholic Church in South Sioux City with the Rev. David Fulton officiating. There will be a private family burial. Visitation at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Wednesday with the family present at 6 P.M. and a time of sharing at 7 P.M.           Leanna Marie was born August 4, 1961 in Sioux City the daughter of Carl C. and Doris M. (Cornell) Hofmeister. She attended St. Michael School in South Sioux City and graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1980. She married Jim A. Osbahr July 6, 1993.           She was employed at Wellers in Sioux City, Gateway in North Sioux City and presently at Fimco.           She was a former member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Siouxland Arena Skating Club.           Leanna loved doing any kind of crafts, especially ceramics, roller skating, NASCAR, camping, riding on the back of motorcycles, bowling and trying new cooking recipes. She enjoyed being with her family and attending their various sporting events and watching, playing and being with her grandkids.           Survivors include her husband, Jim, two sons: Justin Johnson of Omaha, Bret Osbahr of Chicago, a daughter Jodi and her husband Jon Baumgartner of Sioux Falls, two brothers: Carl “Sonny” (Debbie) Hofmeister of Plano, TX, Michael (Ilene) Hofmeister of Dakota City, two sisters: Char (Gabe) Rodriguez of Tecumseh, NE, Kathy (Tom) Robinson of Sterling, NE, three grandchildren: Lexie, Lillian, Emmett, several nieces and nephews, her in-laws: Jim and Lois Osbahr, Tom Barnett and Terry Osbahr-Barnett and Marty Osbahr.           In lieu of flowers the family asks you to consider making a memorial to the family for distribution or the Brain Aneurism Research Association.
