Lorraine "Beatle" Derby

  Lorraine V. “Beatle” Derby, 83 of South Sioux City passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 at a South Sioux City care center.    Services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church with the Rev. David Fulton officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery. Visitation at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, with her niece Carol Glackin having a eulogy at 6:30 P.M. followed by a Scriptural Wake at 7:30 P.M.    Lorraine was born February 14, 1933 in Hartington, Nebraska the daughter of Henry and Josephine (Langferman) Koch. She married Donald Derby in 1948.    She was formerly employed at Muldowney Properties in Sioux City and was a homemaker. She enjoyed going to the goodwill, rummage sales and going to the boat with her sister Doris.    Survivors include three daughters: Linda Post of Wildomar CA, Connie Russell of Sioux City, Amy Derby of Sioux City, a brother Anthony Koch of South Sioux City, three sisters: Hildegard Anderson of South Sioux City, Sylvia Kjhenstad of Omaha, Doris Pagen of South Sioux City, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was precede in death by her parents, her husband Donald in 1985, a son Donnie Derby, a brother Clatus and a sister Hilaria Dickes.    Pallbearers will be Ronnie and Allen Derby, Mick Gamet, Rod Neal, Kenneth Dickes, and Richard Koch.
