Jerry Claude Bowker, 66, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at a South Sioux City Care Center. Jerry was born October 9, 1949 in Mitchell, South Dakota the son of Earl and Doris (Hildebrand) Bowker. He graduated from Central High School in Sioux City. He married Peggy L. McKown February 13, 1969 in Sioux City. She passed away July 24, 1995 in Sioux City. Jerry was employed at Motor Parts Central in Sioux City and O’Reilly’s in South Sioux City before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his son Jeremy and his wife Melissa Bowker of Ames, Iowa, his daughter Jody and her husband Devlin Robertson of Sioux City, six grandchildren: Owen, Wyatt and Maggie Bowker, Caitlin and her husband Ryan Schooley, Cal and Nicole Robertson, and one great grandson Alexander Schooley, a brother James (Hon Sue) Bowker of Killeen, Texas, three sisters: Barbara Flandreau of Alpharetta, Georgia, Mary (James) Boots of Hudson, Wisconsin and Nancy (Pat) Moore of Dakota City, Nebraska Burial and visitation for Jerry and his wife Peggy will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 21, 2016, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. A reception will immediately follow at El Fredo’s Restaurant, Eastside, 4511 Stone Avenue, Sioux City, Iowa.
