Janet A. Dalke-Smith

Janet Dalke - Smith 61 of Sioux City passed away Monday November 7, 2016 from natural causes at her residence.           Services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Harris officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.           Janet was born June 9, 1955, in Sioux City the daughter of Donald G. and Dorthea (DeWitt) Hanneman. She graduated from East High School. She married Robert Dalke. He died in 1985. She then married Kevin Smith in 1986.           Janet was employed at Kum and Go several years but due to poor health she had to retire.           She attended Mayflower Congregational Church.           She is survived by a daughter Angie and her husband Jason Bates of Homer, NE, a son William Thomas and his wife Chasity Dalke of Sioux City, a step-son Darrin and his wife Lindzy Foster of Sioux City, three grandchildren, step-grandchildren and one great grandson and her former husband, Kevin.           She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.           Pallbearers will be David Dunscomb, Robert Rathke, William Lemon, Landon Barbee, Brandon Barbee and Les Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Taylor Reynolds, Jeremey Berger and Christopher Strong.
