Ann C. Davis

October 13, 1932 — January 5, 2017

   Ann C. Davis, 84, of South Sioux City passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at a Sioux City Hospital.    Services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Douglas Dill officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the service at the cemetery there will be a lunch and gathering at the church. Visitation at Becker Hunt Funeral Home will be from 4 to 7 P.M. Monday with the family present at 6 P.M. and a prayer service at 7 P.M.    Ann was born August 13, 1932 in Sioux City the daughter of Samuel and Ella M. (Sundt) Combs. She was the Home Coming Queen, graduating from South Sioux City High School in 1950. She married Everett Davis, Jr August 18, 1951 in South Sioux City.    Ann was a member of First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City.    She raised Scottish-terriers and loved all dogs. She enjoyed working in her flowers gardens. She loved watching old westerns and the Corn Husker Football.    She loved her family and her grandchildren.   Survivors include two sons and their wives: Jeffrey and Glenda Davis and Matthew and Rita Davis all of Sioux City, , two grandchildren: Jaimie (Mike) Blankenship and Nick (Allison ) Davis and four great grandchildren: Lainey and Jake Blankenship, Finley and Crew Davis, a sister-in-law Diane (Wayne) Boyd and her good friend and helper Elaine and many good neighbors.    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Everett July 26, 2005 and a brother Frank Combs.    Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Boyd and Marvin Muirhead. Pallbearers will be Nick Davis, Mike Blankenship, Steve Clausen, Jeff Lederer, Jeffrey Davis and Matt Davis.
