Eugene "Gene" Curry

  Eugene T. “Gene” Curry, 74 of South Sioux City passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at a Sioux City Hospital.   Services will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas Dill officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home  Gene was born June 28, 1942, in Sioux City the son of Thomas R. and Elizabeth M. (Leedom) Curry. He graduated from South Sioux City High School. He was a lifelong resident of South Sioux City. Gene was an installer at Curry Floor until his retirement.   He married Judy D. Paul April 16, 1993 in Elk Point, S.D.   Gene was a member of the Hawkeye Gun Club in Sioux City, the NRA, Ducks Unlimited and NWTF. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, shooting sporting clays, trap and skeet. He won several shooting medals.   Survivors include his wife Judy, three sons: Scot Curry and his significant other Kim Stewart of Atlanta, GA, Jeff and his wife Gail Curry of South Sioux City, Curt and his wife Laura Curry of South Yarmouth, MA, six grandchildren: Elizabeth Curry, Skyler (Allison) Curry, Satasha (Sherrod) Grant, Bryer Paul, Thomas Curry, Erika Curry, two great grandchildren: Drake Paul, Sylas Grant and one on the way.   He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Bryan Paul.
