Bonnie Kingston Cooper of South Sioux City, Ne passed away Sunday may 21, 2017 at Regency Square Nursing Home in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday may 24, 2017 at First Lutheran Church South Sioux City, Nebraska. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church burial will be in Memorial Park Cemtery. Bonnie was born September 26, 1924 on the family farm near Allen, NE. She was the daughter of Richard J. and Esther S. (Hansen) Kingston. She graduated from Allen High School. Bonnie married Bud I. Cooper On October 30, 1943 in South Sioux City, NE. After high school Bonnie taught rural school in Allen, Ne for three years. During WW11 she was employed at Winchargers in Sioux City. For 18 years Bonnie worked at Fantles Department Store in the dress department. Bonnie then got her drivers’ license and went into sales selling real estate. Bonnie was a agent for 25 years with Stinger Albertson in South Sioux City retiring in January 2000. Bonnie was a member of First Lutheran Church in South Sioux City. She was a member of the Board of Realtors, Senior Sues and Red Hat Society. She was a member of two card clubs the penny ante poker and hand and foot. Bonnie was an avid reader, enjoyed some gambling at Vegas and locally. Most of all Bonnie enjoyed her family. She was a kind and loving person. She had nieces and nephews who she thoroughly enjoyed and who showed her much love and kindness. Bonnie made many lifetime friends. Survivors include her daughter and husband Linda (Doug) Carter; Grandsons Rodney and Debra Carter and Greg and special friends Glenda. One great granddaughter Justine Carter, two great grandsons, Ryan (Fiancé Samantha) Carter and Cameron (Haley) Carter, One great - great granddaughter Juliet Carter. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Bud Cooper. Her parents Dick and Esther Kingston and her brother Bud Kingston, and her sisters Cherry Hamlin, Donna Boardman and Dixie Johnson. A Special thanks to Hospice of Siouxland and to the staff and caregivers at Regency Square in South Sioux.
