Mary E. Lindquist, 94 died Sunday August 13, 2017. Service will be 2:30 P.M. at First Lutheran Church South Sioux City. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur, NE. Becker – Hunt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.           Mary was born June 13, 1923 in Decatur, Nebraska the daughter of Vern and Audrey E. (Potts) Funkhoush. She graduated from Winnebago Nebraska High School. She received her teaching degree from Dana College at Blair, NE. She taught three and a half years in the Winnebago School. She then was employed several years in retail in South Sioux City and Sioux City.           She married Conrad E. Lindquist October 25, 1946 in South Sioux City. She was a member and active member at First Lutheran Church. She was known for her cooking and beautiful embroidery work. She was an avid reader and a member of the local South Sioux City Library.           Survivors include a son Conrad E. “Skip” and his wife Bonnie Lindquist, two daughters: Janice K. Rickord of Dakota Dunes, SD, Barbara and her husband Daniel Black of South Sioux City, NE, ten grandchildren: Slade and Kay Lindquist, Shane and Colby Hartnett, Michael and Benjamin Rickord, Sunshine McGinty, Ashley Moravek, Seth and Carter Black, and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Edwin Funkhoush and a sister Dorothy Robinson.           Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.           The family wants to say thank you to Regency Square and its staff and Hospice of Siouxland for the special care they gave to there mother.
