Thomas W. “Tom” Simons, 66 of South Sioux City passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at a Sioux Falls, SD Hospital. Respecting Tom’s wishes, the body has been cremated and a celebration of life service will be from 2 to 4 P.M. Saturday, January 6, 2016, at the Huddle in South Sioux City. Becker – Hunt Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Tom was born October 10, 1951 in Plainview, NE the son of William and Martha (McElhose) Simons. He graduated from Flandreau , SD high school. He married Christine A. “Chris” Olsen May 30, 1992 in Sioux City. Tom was employed at the Corner Store, Paddock Liquor and retired from Orkin Pest Control. Survivors include his wife Chris, a son Jason (Paula) Cook of Ponca, NE, a daughter Holly Cook of Sioux city, two sisters: Marlene (Dennis) Cole of Gary, SD, Nancy (Leo) Ziervogel of Milwaukee, WS, a brother Brad (Pam) Simons of Littleton CO, four grandchildren: Hannah, Cullen and Aidan Cook and Deonte Cook, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Jeanne and her husband Bill Moscoff. Tom enjoyed music and loved to sing. He was an avid fan of the Packers and the Huskers. He enjoyed being with the family, friends and his grandkids.
