Ann Jean Janssen, 80 of Jackson, Nebraska passed away Monday January 29, 2018 at the care center in Ponca, Nebraska. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Jackson with Father Paul Albenesius officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. Thursday at the church with a Parish Rosary at 7 P.M. Becker – Hunt Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Graveside services will be 2:30 P.M. in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Hartington, Nebraska. Becker – Hunt Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Ann was born May 24, 1937 in Hartington, Nebraska the daughter of Henry and Ann (McFadden) Burbach. She graduated from Cedar Catholic High School in Hartington and the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. She taught in St. Mary’s Catholic School in Bellevue, the Bellevue public School and was a substitute teacher in the Omaha Public Schools. She married LeRoy A. Janssen December 27, 1969 in Bellevue, Nebraska. Ann was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bellevue, Nebraska. Survivors include her husband LeRoy, a son Douglas and his wife Stacey of Jackson, a daughter Lisa Janssen and her significant other Greg Rosenboom of Lincoln, two grandchildren: Megan and Katie Janssen. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Donald, Henry, Leonard, Father Jude, two sisters: Delores Johnson, Virginia Burbach, infant brother Daniel Burbach and two infant sisters Maurine, and Genevieve Burbach.
