Margaret Katherine “Mikki” Paul, 100 of North Sioux City, SD, passed away Tuesday January 30, 2018 at her daughter’s home in South Sioux City, NE surrounded by family. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at River Hills Church in South Sioux City, with Pastor Janell Norton officiating. Immediately following the service there will be a lunch and sharing of memories with the family at the church. Visitation will be one half hour prior to service at the church. Becker – Hunt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mikki was born September 13, 1917 in Newcastle, NE the daughter of Peter and Helen (Lukken) Redl. She graduated from Newcastle, Nebraska High School. She married Harold Paul August 1, 1934 in Sioux City, IA. She first started working as head secretary for Sioux Transportation. Then for fifty years she was employed at various theaters in South Sioux City and Sioux City. She wrote a newspaper column, had a short radio talk show with Johnny Walker and was a Walmart Greeter in Singing Hills for twenty-five years. Margaret had received several awards from the mayor and city council of Sioux City for years of work and dedication in the community. She was Grand Marshall in 2017 for the River Cade Parade. Mikki loved to read and watch old cowboy movies starring John Wayne and collecting anything pertaining to Elvis Presley. Survivors include her son Randy and his wife Lynn Paul of Hot Springs, AK, three daughters: Alaine Jenkins of Milford, KS, Connie Anderson of Lutton, IA, Judy Curry of South Sioux City, thirteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and twenty-three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother John Redl, two sisters: Marcella Clark, Lucille Overhulser, grandson Bryan Paul, sons-in-law: Eugene Curry, Merlin Jenkins and Connie’s significant other Roger Rand.
