Emma M. Bagley

Emma M. Bagley, 92 of South Sioux City passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 at a South Sioux City Care Center. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday at Becker – Hunt Funeral Hone with Rev. Rex Wentzel officiating. Burial will be in the City Cemetery, Newcastle, Nebraska. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Emma Margaret Parrish Bagley was born May 17, 1924 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of George E. and Cora A. (Ray) Parrish. She graduated from high school and was a longtime resident of the Siouxland area. Emma married Darryl C. Bagley August 23, 1978 in Whiting, Iowa, She was employed at Bishops Cafeteria until it closed, at the South Sioux City Indoor Pool, helping with water aerobics and a receptionist at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home for over twenty years. Emma belonged to the First Presbyterian Church in south Sioux City. Survivors include a brother Lawrence Parish, six grandchildren: Doug Martin, Dawn Martin, Brad Martin, Tonya Galles, Rhonda and Dawn Smith, and six great Grandchildren: Kelsey, Bryton Martin, Aubra and Shay Galles, Cherokee and Sheena Smith. Pallbearers will be Kelsey and Bryton Martin, Aubra, Shay and Steve Galles, Sheena Smith. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Darryl April 15, 2001, a son Ronald Martín, a daughter Frances Smith, sisters: Barbara, Eva, Opal Roberts, Bessie Nelson and Mabel Kobernus, brothers: Earl, Cecil, Elzy and Rolland.
