Fred J. Lange III, 66 of Sioux City passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at a local hospital. A Celebration of Life service will be from 2-4 P.M. on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Online condolences may be directed to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Fred was born on December 26, 1951 to Elsie (Robinson) and Fred J. Lange II in Little Sioux, Iowa. On August 6, 1973 he married Margaret Nelson in Sioux City. He was a lifelong resident of Sioux City, and worked for many years as a truck driver for Lessard Contracting, Inc. before retiring. In his spare time, Fred enjoyed fishing, hunting, and anything else that took him where he loved to be – outdoors. His family and friends would agree, he truly was a Jack of all trades, and that there was nothing that Fred could not do.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Maggie; his children: Kimberly (Joseph) Johnson, Buffy (Brian) Horton, Bobbi (Jens) Gift, and Jamie (Amy) Lange; 20 grandkids; 18 great-grandkids; 6 honorary grandkids from camp; 2 sisters: Jean (Dale) Frank, and Chris Foster; 3 brothers: Alan (Gloria) Martin, Kevin (Kelly) Martin, and Terry Joe Robertson; and many nieces and nephews.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister: Vinda Smith.
