Joyce Mead

Joyce Mead, 65, of Sioux City, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018 at a local Sioux City hospital. A private family celebration of life will be held. Joyce was born on November 15, 1952 in Mapleton, IA to Dale and Dorothy (Ingram) Hanks. She worked as a CNA in Hospice for several years. Joyce enjoyed camping, fishing and her dog Max. Most of all Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Those left to honor her memory include her children: Tim (Nancy) Mead, Musella, Georgia, Tina (Nathan) Bruss, Omaha, NE, Beau Mead, Sioux City; siblings: Donnie Hanks, Salix, IA, Sharon Hanks, Sioux City, Ron (Dawn) Hanks, Climbing Hill, IA, Lyle (Rosie) Hanks, Hinton, IA; brother-in-law: Randy Grasz; grandchildren: John, Amber, Travis, Conner, Levi, and Landon; 5 great-grandchildren; several, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Corey Mead; and sister, Sandy Grasz.
