Susan J. Bryce, 72, of Lawton, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Holy Cross Parish St. Michael. Visitation will be Friday, November 2, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. with a Vigil at 5 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Rock Valley, Iowa.

Susan was born the daughter of Theodore and Irene (Wyffels) Ranschau on March 14, 1946 in Rock Valley, Iowa. She graduated from Rock Valley High School and attended Nettleton Business School. Susan married Jerry Ofert in 1969. She later married Billy Bryce in 1989. Susan lived in Rock Valley and Sioux City for many years. She then moved to Pierson for 11 years before spending the last 15 years in Lawton.

Susan enjoyed working for Dr. Cummingham for ten years. She then retired from Internal Medicine in Sioux City.

Susan enjoyed flowers and gardening, reading, baking, her pets, camping, and anything involving her family.

She was a member of Holy Cross Parish St. Michael.

Susan is survived by her husband, Billy Bryce of Lawton, Iowa; son, Reesen Ofert of Lawton, Iowa; daughter, Nadine (Gary Rittel) Madsen of Yankton, South Dakota; granddaughter, Madison (Andrew) Davis of Williston, North Dakota; sons, Matthew (Tricia) Ofert of Omaha, Nebraska, Michael Ofert of Moville, Iowa,; step-sons, Risty (Wendy) Bryce of Onawa, Iowa and Jamey Bryce of Sioux City, Iowa; brother, David (Barb) Ranschau of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; sister-in-law, Ruthanne Ranschau of Rock Valley, Iowa; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles Ranschau.
