Andrew C. "Drew" Niebrugge

September 16, 1963 — October 29, 2018

Andrew C. Niebrugge, 55, of Sioux City, died Monday, October 29, 2018. A memorial visitation will be Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 4-6 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.

Flowers are welcome for the memorial visitation, or consider donating in Drew’s name to one of the many causes he was passionate about – animal rescue; space exploration and research; organ, tissue, and eye donation; environmental conservation; veteran services; scholarships for college nursing or biology programs; etc.

Drew was born the son of Robert and Anne (Gavin) Niebrugge on September 16, 1963 in Bakersfield, California. Afterward, he lived in Terre Haute, Indiana; Seattle, Washington; and Yankton, South Dakota. In Yankton, he will always be known by his friends as “Andy.” He then spent the last fifteen years in Sioux City.

Drew owned and operated Tri-State Business Solutions for 10 years. He had previously worked in the IT department at Western Iowa Tech Community College. During his earlier years, he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force.

Drew was also a member of the American Legion and hosted a podcast, 8:05 Live with Spike and Drew. He loved all things technology and speaking about anything and everything on his weekly video podcast with his friend.

He enjoyed playing golf, attending concerts, sailboats, and traveling. His heart was always in Seattle, and he hoped to someday retire traveling the world on a sailboat or in the Black Hills of South Dakota, where he previously served in the Air Force.

Drew loved cooking, especially grilling and smoking. He enjoyed entertaining his friends and family in his backyard and hosting barbecues, game nights, and family dinners. His sense of humor was infectious, and he always told the best stories.

Drew is survived by his children, Emily (Cameron Miser) Niebrugge of Omaha, Nebraska, and Andrew (Paige German) Niebrugge, Jr. of Yankton, South Dakota; longtime companion, Ragen Cote of Sioux City, and her children, Gavin Cote and Lilly Cote; sister-in-law, Teri Niebrugge of Terre Haute, Indiana, and her children, Robert Niebrugge III and Jason Niebrugge; as well as many cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert Niebrugge II and Joseph Niebrugge.
