Mary Holloway, 61, of rural Dakota County, formerly of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018, at her residence after a lengthy illness. A memorial visitation will be held Friday, October 26 from 3-6 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Mary was born on September 24, 1957 in Sioux City, Iowa to Allen and Gerri (Booth) Brown. She graduated from East High School in 1975. She was united in marriage Jeff C. Holloway in April 1976 in Sioux City. They and their two sons, Thomas and Christopher, built the house they lived in outside of Homer, NE in 1992. Mary enjoyed her flower gardens at the farm. She worked as a school cook in South Sioux City, NE for many years. Mary was a wonderful mom and devoted to her family, and will be greatly missed by her sons. Those left to honor her memory include her sons: Thomas Holloway, of Onawa, IA and Christopher Holloway of Homer, NE; and a few nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
