Grant T. Wilsbacher

March 20, 1984 — October 4, 2018

Grant Thomas Wilsbacher, 34, of Sioux City, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018.

Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Thursday at Holy Cross-St. Michael Catholic Church. Rev. David Hemann will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday with a Vigil service at 7:00 P.M., all at the Church. Grant was born on March 20, 1984 in Sioux City. He was the son of John and Vickie (Barker) Wilsbacher. Grant grew up in Sioux City. He attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School and Hinton High School. Grant had worked for his father at Quality Paving, various cooking jobs, and then started his own paving maintenance business. Whatever he did, he did to the best of his ability. He was extremely proud of his work. He also volunteered at the Bargain Center in Sioux City.

Grant had a profound sense of loyalty to God, his family and friends; especially his children, Jasmine and Gavin. He loved spending time with his kids, his dog Tucker, taking cruises and cooking. Grant was always ready and willing to help anyone in need and put others before himself. He had a great sense of humor and was always making people laugh. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.

Survivors include his daughter, Jasmine Carson of Sioux City; his son, Gavin Wilsbacher of Sioux City; his parents; John Wilsbacher (Shawna) of Sioux City, Vickie Hansen (Jeff) of Colorado Springs, CO; maternal grandmother Evelyn Barker of Colorado Springs, CO; paternal grandmother Mildred Albert of Sioux City; 3 sisters: Sandra Noreen of Colorado Springs, Co, Audra Hango (Ryan) of Coronado, CA, Amanda Hainey (Cody) of Sioux City; 2 brothers: Cody Hansen and Nick Hansen both of Colorado Springs, CO; his step sisters: Kristina Hansen of LeMars, IA and Sarah Ofstehage (Dan) of Watertown, SD; his step grandmother Beverly Scheer (Ed) of Moville, IA. 

Grant was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Philip Dean Wilsbacher and his maternal grandfather Harold Barker.
