Pearl M. Wobbema, 96, of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Holy Spirit Retirement Home.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux City with Reverend R. Paul Johnston officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pearl Mae was born on November 8, 1921 in Ashton, Iowa to Paul and Vera (Eldred) Carl. She attended Central High School in Sioux City.
Pearl was united in marriage to William Wobbema on April 8, 1939 in Elk Point, South Dakota and this union was blessed with two daughters. The family made their home in Sioux City and Pearl was a homemaker.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for many years where she was part of a Trinity Circle. Pearl enjoyed reading, traveling and going to their summer home at Lake Okoboji. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters: Merrilee (Thomas Schweitzer) Anderson of Gladstone, MO and Penny (Raymond) Monlux of Sioux City; 7 grandchildren: Steven (Kim) Anderson, Michael Anderson, Kristen Branson, Michelle (Terry) Smith, Aleesa (Tobi) Wright, Melissa (Brian Flemming) Monlux and Trisha (Paul) Lofflin; 20 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William on February 22, 1999; son-in-law, Russell Anderson; and one sister, June Lola.
