Donald J. Lipinski

Donald James Lipinski, 79, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at a local care center.

Donald was born on March 9, 1939 in Omaha, NE the son of John and Teresa (Goralski) Lipinski. He married Fern J. Harbeck on January 27, 1957 in Laverne, MI. She preceded him in death in 2017.

Donald had been a welder for over 40 years, working at Load King and then Soo Tractor until he retired. He was always remodeling and working on his vehicles when his children were young.

Donald enjoyed making things out of wood or metal, even saving motors from washing machines and turning them into tools he could use in his garage, wood lathe or other. Donald also loved playing dice, upwords, slots, and cards. He was a very smart, strong man and will be missed very much.

Don is survived by his children: Jeff Lipinski, Shelly Joyce, Susan Alejo, and Lynn Green; grandchildren: Sarah King, Summer Alejo, Cassidy Alejo, Nicholas Zamora, Blake Lipinski, and Arron Green; great grandchildren: Brightlyn Alejo and Adalyn King; and sister Veronica Pocklinton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Fern.

Missing you every day, what I would give to clasp his hand, his happy face to see, to hear his voice, and see his smile that meant so much to me. Nothing can ever take away the love a heart holds so dear. Fond memories linger every day, Remembrance keeps him near.
