Charlotte M. Card, 91, of Sioux City, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at a local nursing home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Riverside United Methodist Church with the Reverend Liz Tucker officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 at the church. Charlotte was born on June 19, 1927 in Sioux City to Charles and Ella (Johnson) Dietschy. She graduated from Central High School. Charlotte was united in marriage to Albert Card on May 14, 1948 in Sioux City at Riverside Methodist Church. He preceded her in death in January of 1974. Charlotte worked at Aalfs Manufacturing and as a cook at Jefferson High School for many years. After retirement she took part in many nursing home activities. In her younger years she enjoyed sewing for her kids and grandkids. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Those left to honor her memory include her children: Keith (Pam) Card, Council Bluffs, IA; Diane Peters, Sioux City; Dennis (Sue) Card, St. George, South Carolina; sister, Julie (Ed) Miller, Sioux City; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Norman; grandson, Bradley Peters; 3 sisters and 1 brother.
